Ingredients:
6 slices bacon (cooked & chopped)
1/2 lb lean ground beef
1 small onion (diced)
1 green bell pepper (seeded & diced)
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
2/3 cup Holmes Made Chipotle BBQ Sauce
2 Tb. cider vinegar
1-2 Tb. Holmes Made Smoky Mustard
1 cup chicken broth
1 Tb. molasses
2 cans pinto beans (drained & rinsed)
Kosher salt & black pepper (to taste)
Directions:
In a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef with the onion, bell peppers, and spices until the vegetables are softened and the ground beef is cooked throughout.
Stir in the cooked bacon.
Add the BBQ sauce, vinegar, mustard, fruit spread, broth, molasses, and beans; bring to a simmer and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Season the beans to taste with salt and pepper; serve warm from the skillet. ** If you prefer your beans more on the spicy side, stir in a spoonful of Holmes-Made Cowboy Candy!**
